AerCap Holdings to Take Back 2 Kingfisher Planes

first_imgDebt-ridden Kingfisher Airlines is set to face another problem. AerCap Holdings NV, one of the airine’s lessors, is reportedly ready to re-claim two of its aircrafts.Kingfisher AirlinesA spokesperson for Kingfisher said that the two aircrafts in question belonged to AerCap and the agreement to lease was due for renewal in three months. However, the lessor has decided to take back its property, since neither party could agree to the terms of extension. However, the spokesperson did add that Kingfisher would add to its fleet in December, replacing one of two aircrafts re-possessed.The airline was recently in the news, over the cancelation of 100 of its flights, following huge losses sustained by cut-throat competition and an increase in fuel prices.last_img
